DISCLAIMER: Bet365 does no longer accept new Indian players since August 2023. We recommend to register with 1xBet instead.
Bet365 offers you the opportunity to put your analytical skills to the test by offering a smooth platform for sports betting on various sports such as cricket, football, table tennis, badminton, baseball, formula 1, cycling, and golf.
To ensure that the online betting site remains free of negative elements such as betting by minors and gambling addiction, some measures need to be taken in the form of responsible gaming regulations.
On this page, you will find everything you need to know about responsible gaming at Bet365.
Deposit Limits on Bet365
You can change your deposit limits at Bet365, and the changes will be applied immediately. You can change deposit limits for periods of 24 hours, seven days, or 30 days. Once you change your deposit limit, you can not change it back until the change period is over.
The purpose of this feature is to let you control your urges to make additional deposits and try to win your money back in a moment of panic, greed, or to chase losses.
Bet365 also lets you increase your deposit limit, but such a request has a waiting period of 24 hours, and still, you would need to confirm that you want to increase the deposit limit.
If you want to know more about deposits, we recommend going through our Bet365 deposits guide.
In addition to the deposit limits, Bet365 also allows you to set limits for your bankroll and the time you spend on the site.
The bankroll limit can be set to a certain amount of Rupees. Whenever your bankroll exceeds that amount, the excess funds will be transferred to your bank account automatically. For example, if you set the limit to INR 10,000 and you have INR 15,000 on your account after winning a bet, you will get INR 5,000 transferred to your account automatically.
The time limit lets you limit the amount of time you spend on the betting site per day, week or month. For example, you can only allow yourself to play 2 hours per day, 10 hours per week, etc.
Self-exclusion and Removal on Bet365
Bet365 offers a self-exclusion service wherein for an indefinite period, or six months, one year, two years, or five years, you will not be able to bet on Bet365. During this period, you can log in and withdraw any remaining balance but can not use your account for gambling.
If you think self-exclusion is a bit extreme, you can also restrict some areas of the site rather than completely excluding yourself.
To ensure that you do not get periodical reminders of gambling, you will be removed from Bet365’s marketing databases, and the bookmaker suggests that you turn off all notifications and apps from Bet365 during this self-exclusion period.
You can access the self-exclusion service from the gambling controls section in your account menu or by contacting the Bet365 customer care team.
Please note that this service is irreversible and you cannot unlock your account during the self-exclusion period, however self-exclusion is different from account closure.
Can I Reopen my Bet365 Account?
If you choose to self-exclude, then Bet365 will also prevent you from re-opening the account for any reason and will do anything it can to close any new accounts you may open. Your account will automatically be reopened once the self-exclusion period has expired.
If you choose to close your account completely, it may be possible to create a new account after some time. It is best to contact Bet365 customer support to check if this is possible.
Check out our Bet365 Customer Support page to find all the contact details you may need.
Why is my Bet365 Account Restricted?
If you have opted for self-exclusion, naturally, your account will be shown as restricted. But, in some cases, accounts may be restricted for other reasons, such as incomplete KYC details or pending verification.
If you have a problem accessing your Bet365 account and didn’t initiate the self-exclusion, you can contact the customer support to help you unlock your account.
In case you have not completed the KYC process and need some assistance, you can refer to our page on how to sign up at Bet365.
Bet365 verifies the age of all customers and asks for documentary proof of age if their checks are inconclusive. If you are below 18 years of age and are gambling on Bet365, your account will be closed, and your winnings will be forfeited.
Bet365 operates only in countries where it has a license to operate, such as India. However, some states in India may be excluded by Bet365. If you live in Telangana or Andhra Pradesh, your account may be restricted due to your geographical location.
You can find a full list of all the states in which the bookmaker operates legally in our page on Bet365 legality.
Bet365 is licensed and regulated by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). The MGA states that players should never be encouraged to wager winnings, engage in prolonged continuous gameplay, gamble as a minor, spend more than what they can afford to lose, or chase losses. MGA also requires all licensed operators to offer responsible gaming services such as gaming limits, reality checks, and self-exclusion.
The gaming authorities also encourage licensees to look into irresponsible gambling behavior, such as reinvesting ‘big wins’, and increasing late-night play.
If you want to know more about all the licenses and regulations the bookmaker has to follow, we recommend reading our page on Bet365 trustworthiness.
Can I use a VPN at Bet365?
You can use a VPN to access Bet365. However, you will need to verify your identity and confirm that you are in India to be able to choose the right currency, languages, and promotional offers.
Promotional offers and bonuses might differ from country to country. If you are changing your location frequently through VPN, it's better not to claim any bonuses or offers since when your location changes again, it might set off red flags. Also, Bet365 uses geo-location technology to confirm your location before letting you place bets.
How to Change Personal Information?
For security reasons, you can not change your name, date of birth, and cardholder name. But you can go to the ‘My Account’ section in the account menu and update your address, contact details, language, currency, etc. If you need to correct your name, date of birth, or cardholder name, you need to contact Bet365 support.
