1) Win ODI World Cup
The biggest expectation for team India right now will be to win the upcoming ODI World Cup which is scheduled to be hosted by India. The last time, team India lifted the trophy was in 2011 when MS Dhoni lead the team courageously towards one goal against Sri Lanka in the final game.

2) Win World Test Championship
Team India made history after reaching the final game of the first-ever World Test Championship in 2021. The team was under the captaincy of Virat Kohli and they faced New Zealand in the final game. Unfortunately, the end was not in favour of the team and New Zealand won the trophy.

Team India is known to win the most Asia Cup trophies. The tournament will take place again in 2023 and will be hosted by India’s arch-rivals Pakistan. Everyone would expect a final between the two neighbours and would expect team India to lift the trophy.
4) Defeat Australia in Australia
According to reports released by BCCI, team India will be touring Australia at the end of the year for the three-match Test and ODI series. The hosts have a world-class team and it is next to impossible to defeat them on their own grounds.
However, the only team that can make it possible is team India. Indian cricket has the same level of quality players as Australia and they can overpower the hosts in both formats of the game.
5) Virat Kohli’s Test Century
Virat Kohli is one of the most loved cricketers in the country and recently he made his comeback in the T20 format and the ODI cricket. Kohli was absent from scoring centuries for a long time but he showed his character and answered his critics on the ground. The only comeback he has not made yet is scoring a century in the Test format.
Fans would expect him to score a century in the longest format of the game and declare his supremacy again in international cricket.
