The auctions for the most elite T20 cricket league are about to go on the floors and all the franchises are working towards hiring the best players for the team.
Every year IPL comes to entertain cricket fans in India and from across the globe. One thing which every franchise keeps in mind is getting the fourth bowler for the team who can control the run rate of the opposition and can help pick wickets. In most cases, that fourth bowler is always a spinner.
Indian pitches are always in support of a spin bowler. The variations which are provided by a spin bowler give a good return to the team. You can find the list of online bookmakers here.
Three spinners who are expected to get a high signing amount
We have compiled a list of three spinners who are expected to get a high signing amount from the franchises in the tournament:
1) Shakib Al Hasan
The Bangladeshi spinner has been a player with strong credentials for a long time. He is a T20 expert who can change the direction of the game with his presence during the middle overs. In 71 IPL games, Shakib has picked up 63 wickets at an economy of 7.43.
Shakib missed out on last year’s IPL because he went unsold due to a decline in his performance in international cricket. However, in recent times, he has performed exceptionally well and will be fetching big money in the auction.
2) Adam Zampa
The Australian spin maestro has recently made a huge mark on international cricket. Adam Zampa was a known face in the Big Bash League but since his debut with the Australian team in international cricket, Zampa has become a threat to every batsman in the world.
He was part of the Bangalore squad in 2021 but left the tournament in between because of some personal reasons. However, he is now available and has some strong credentials with the Australian squad. Zampa is expected to get higher bids from all the franchises during the IPL auctions because of the number of variations he has in his kitty.
3) Mujeeb Ur Rehman
Back in IPL 2018, Mujeeb Ur Rehman was in the spotlight with his brilliant performance in the tournament as he picked up 14 wickets in 11 games. He was expected to be the next big thing in the IPL and for the Afghanistan squad.
However, things took a wrong turn and Rehman witnessed a decline in his performance. In recent games with Afghanistan, Mujeeb displayed a ferocious performance and has made a good comeback. The franchises would have made a note of it and they would be getting into a bidding war for the player.
