IPL Auction 2023: Three players RCB could target in the upcoming event

IPL Auction 2023 is scheduled to take place in Kochi and their 991 registrations from players across the globe. Royal Challengers Bangalore is one of the teams who always come out as a strong contender for the trophy but they have never won it yet.

This year things are expected to be different and they will have an opportunity to buy some of the strongest players from the list.

The year 2023 is expected to be a different year for RCB. First of all their star player, Virat Kohli is back in form and he scored the highest runs in the T20 World Cup in 2022. The flamboyant batsman is expected to continue his scoring momentum and contribute towards Bangalore’s win.

We have compiled a list of three players RCB could target in the upcoming IPL auction.

See the list below:

1) Adam Zampa

Adam Zampa will be at the top of the list for RCB’s team management. He has performed exceptionally well with his spin attack in recent matches. Zampa also carries a good experience in the T20 format as he is a known face in the Big Bash League.

He has played 14 IPL matches and has picked up 21 wickets with a strike rate of 13.67. He was part of RCB in 2021 but was released and couldn't make it to IPL 2022. With Hasaranga at the other end, Zampa can prove deadly for RCB in 2023.

2) Daniel Sams

Daniel Sams is known for his death over specialty and swing bowling. Apart from his bowling talent, Samas is a valuable asset in the middle order as well. Royal Challengers Bangalore used him in the 2021 season but the left-arm pacer turned out to be a loose end.

However, the 33-year-old has shown some positive signs recently in the T20 format. Considering Maxwell’s fitness concern, RCB can target Sams as his replacement as an all-rounder.

3) Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey carries good experience playing with different teams in the IPL tournament. In 2021 he was released from Hyderabad and Lucknow took the opportunity to buy him.

However, the batter turned out to be below average performer and the management decided to release him.

The 33-year-old has featured in 160 matches and scored 3648 runs at a strike rate of 121.52. He can be a valuable asset for RCB in the middle order because Bangalore has always struggled to make an impact with their middle-order batting. Read more about your favorite Sports News.
