The time has come for every cricket team in the world to focus their shift towards the upcoming ODI World Cup. Bangladesh and Ireland are facing each other in a three-match ODI series where the first game ended up in favor of Bangladesh & the second fixture was abandoned due to rains. Both the teams will be playing the 3rd ODI on Thursday at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Bangladesh batters are turning out to be the match-winners. They have scored a big number in both the ODIs & gave momentum to the team.
The 2nd ODI was not a good day for the Irish bowlers. The team started off on a good note but lost momentum in between. The top bookmakers in India have great odds for this tie.
It was a positive beginning for Bangladesh in the first ODI as the opening lineup gave a solid beginning to the team. However, Tamim Iqbal is going through a bad phase as he has failed to score in both the games. Litton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto gave the much-required stability to the team in the 2nd ODI. Mushfiqur Rahim scored a century at a strike rate of 166.67 and that was the highlight of the game before it got abandoned. It will be interesting to see the bowlers responding to the situation in the 3rd ODI.
Skipper Tamim Iqbal won’t be making any changes to the squad but he will be focusing on his own form.
Predicted Lineup: Hasan Mahmud, Ebadot Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Litton Das, Nasum Ahmed, Shakib Al Hasan, Yasir Ali, Mushfiqur Rahim, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Tamim Iqbal, Towhid Hridoy
Ireland's bowlers started off well by breaking the opening partnership at an early stage but they lost track after a while. Graham Hume picked up 3 wickets at an economy of 5.80. Mark Adair and Curtis Campher picked up one wicket each at an economy of 7.30 and 6 respectively. Ireland will be motivated to get a positive start in the 3rd ODI and end the series with a win.
Irish players are coming to play with some new faces in the team and they are expected to do well.
Predicted Lineup: Mark Adair, Andy McBrine, Matthew Humphreys, Curtis Campher, Paul Stirling, George Dockrell, Stephen Doheny, Lorcan Tucker, Graham Hume, Harry Tector, Andrew Balbirnie
Bangladesh carries a brilliant record at their home grounds. Their batting lineup looks good and we predict a win for Bangladesh in the 3rd ODI.
