The first matchday of the English Premier League will see The Gunners hosting Nottingham Forest on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium. Both clubs will be motivated to the campaign of the new season with a win.
Arsenal had a positive season last year but unfortunately, they missed out on the Premier League title and ended the season at the 2nd spot.
Nottingham Forest was saved from getting relegated in their previous season as they finished in the 16th position with only 9 wins. The football betting sites have all kinds of EPL markets with them.
The Gunners have already announced their revival with a positive start to the season as they defeated Manchester City in the community shield fixture. It was a close game as both teams had a strong defence that was successfully breaking the attack. With 45% possession, Arsenal was unable to score any goal till the last moments. They were able to equalize at 90+11th minute as Leonardo Trossard scored a goal with an assist from Bukayo Saka.
Gabriel Jesus is expected to be fit to be part of the Saturday fixture. He was in the injury room because of a knee injury.
Predicted Lineup: Ramsdale (GK), Tomiyasu, Gabriel, Timber, Saliba, Ødegaard, Rice, Havertz, Trossard, Saka & Martinelli
The Tricky Trees didn't have a good friendly season as they lost all of their friendly fixtures except the previous one against Eintracht Frankfurt. The fixture ended up in a draw as both clubs failed to score any goal. The first 45 minutes witnessed no attack from both sides and the Forest struggled to keep the ball with them. The second half began with Shelvy saving two goals but there was no improvement in Forest’s gameplay and the club was unable to come up with a constructive attack.
Forest’s new signings Anthony Elanga and Ola Aina will be available for the Saturday fixture.
Predicted Lineup: Horvath; Aurier, McKenna, Worrall, Aina; Freuler, Kouyate, Yates, Danilo; Gibbs-White; Wood
In the club friendlies, both clubs have shown a completely different performance. Nottingham Forest has struggled to score goals and their defence has turned out to be a weaker point. Arsenal, on the other hand, has shown a tight defence with comparatively a better attack. We predict a win for Arsenal on Saturday.
