The start of the new year has happened on a positive note for Team India as they won the first T20 international between India and Sri Lanka. India vs Sri Lanka 2nd T20 international is scheduled to take place on Thursday at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
The first fixture between the hosts and the visitors was a thrilling game and went on till the last ball. Team India won the game by 2 runs and the Sri Lankan squad was seen expressing their disappointment. The hosts would like to win the second game as well and clinch the series by 2-0.
Team India started their new year with a T20 campaign against Sri Lanka but they witnessed some major concerns in the team. The spin attack turned out to be a big failure and the opening batting order witnessed a bit of instability.

As the game started, Sri Lankan bowlers were focused and they were able to give some tough time to the Indian batters. However, the team management will be concerned over the quality of batting produced by the opening lineup. The winning momentum was missing as Pathum Nissanka and Dhananjaya de Silva completely failed to score.
The middle order also struggled to face the Indian bowling attack but the captain, Dasun Shanaka, played a valuable inning of 45 runs at a strike rate of 166.
