We are just 2-3 sleeps away from the beginning of the fourth edition of the Lanka Premier League 2023, which is the domestic franchise T20 league based in Sri Lanka. The format of the tournament is simple: five teams will take part in the group stage, where each team will play every other team twice in the round-robin format.
After the conclusion of the league stage, the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs, where the first two teams will play Qualifier 1 and the other two teams will play the Eliminator. Then, Qualifier 2 and the final will be played. A total of 24 matches will be played, including the knockouts. Cricket betting sites have all kinds of betting markets for LPL 2023.
B-Love Kandy, who have a very interesting team name, and Colombo Strikers, who were the runner-up last year, will play against each other in the third match of the tournament. Since there are fewer teams and matches will take place regularly, teams will not get much time to recover and will have their next match very soon. This will be the first match for B-Love Kandy in the tournament, whereas it will be the Colombo Strikers’ second match of the tournament right after they play against the Jaffna Kings the day before.

Aamer Jamal and Mohammad Harris are likely to sit out of the starting 11 for the first match.

The 2022 Lanka Premier League runner-up, the Colombo Strikers, will be led by wicketkeeper-batsman Niroshan Dickwella this time around. The overseas contingent of Colombo Strikers is really strong. The players include Babar Azam, Naseem Shah, Wahab Riaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, and Lorcan Tucker.
Wahab Riaz and Lorcan Tucker are likely to not be selected for the match against B-Love Kandy.

Just seeing the playing 11s on paper, the team of Colombo Strikers clearly appears to be the favorite to win this match. Their overseas contingent has better quality than their opponents, and their domestic players are all exciting talents. This match will be important for both sides to start off the tournament, and we feel the Colombo Strikers will get the better of B-Love Kandy in the match.
