West Indies chased down 140 in just under 15 overs and showed why its biggest strength is power-hitting. There are so many strong players in the team that any one of them can make a match-winning contribution. There is no team in the world that can match the West Indies when it comes to power in the batting lineup. There may not appear to be any weaknesses in the team right now but that is never the case.
A lack of agility in the field by some of the senior players as well as the absence of a settled pace-bowling unit are some of the weaknesses that West Indies has to work with.
For Australia, this series has been an eye-opener. Without Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis in the team, they just do not have the power to get the big overs at the end. That is not a problem that is easily solvable and Australia could continue to struggle in that aspect during this series.
Australia's strength has to be its fast bowling unit. The addition of Rilee Meridith made a big impact immediately and even Mitchell Starc came back into form. There is a very good chance that Australia's bowling unit has a good outing in the next two matches.
Players in form
Chris Gayle roared back into form with a bruising inning. He is a player that can make the most of his form and now that he has some runs under his belt, he could be hard to stop. Nicholas Pooran also scored a vital 50 in the previous match. Pooran has been in the middle of a long run of poor scores and could finally be coming out of the other side.
Australia does not have too many players in good form otherwise it would not be losing 3-0. That being said, we think Mitchell Marsh and Josh Hazelwood are easily two of its best performers. Marsh has scored two fifties and Hazelwood has been the most difficult bowler to score off in this series.
