West Indies vs Australia 5th T20 2021 is going to be a very interesting match to watch. Australia finally won the previous match but the West Indies was not really playing its strongest team. Even without Obed McCoy and Dwayne Bravo, the match went down to the last few balls and only four runs separated the two. Another win or loss is not going to change anything for either team since the series has already been decided. Adding more winning momentum ahead of the ODI series is going to be crucial, though.

West Indies vs Australia 5th T20 2021
Teams’ strengths & weaknesses
West Indies is an exceptionally powerful team. It was all but out of the previous match before some terrific hitting from the middle-order brought it back and nearly won it the game. This power and depth in the batting is the biggest strength of the West Indies lineup. There are no major weaknesses that have been shown up in this series but a lack of fitness and too much of changing the playing eleven around are keeping the West Indies from being even stronger.
Australia has been pretty poor in the series so far but managing to win a match is going to add a lot of confidence to its players. The presence of some quality all-rounders in the side and a world-class bowling attack have to be the biggest strengths for Australia. Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa were under tremendous pressure but they both bowled brilliantly in the previous match.
The weakness has to be the form of the batsmen. Apart from Mitchell Marsh, there is no other batsman that has seemed comfortable or capable of scoring at a high strike rate consistently. Australia's batting has struggled to come to terms with the conditions in this series and that is a big problem.
Players in form
West Indies has so many players in form that it is difficult to pick a couple. Obed McCoy and Dwayne Bravo did not play the previous match but they have been brilliant at the death. They could come back in this match to help West Indies end with a win. Evin Lewis played the previous match and also made an impact in the powerplay. He has been scoring runs this summer and is one of the form players for sure.
Mitchell Marsh now has three fifties to his name and is in terrific batting form. His importance to Australia's fortunes cannot be overestimated at the moment. Mitchell Starc has not had the best series so far but his performance in the previous match showed just why he is rated so highly by everyone. He could be someone that peaks at just the right time for Australia.
The conditions in St. Lucia should be sunny and warm. The forecast suggests a small chance of rain but that is normal for the islands in the Caribbean.
- A total of 21 sixes were hit in the previous match
- Mitchell Marsh has three international fifties in his T20 career, all of them scored in this series
- Australia has struggled to hit sixes in the death overs this series and has managed to clear the boundaries just 4 times in the entire series so far
West Indies seems to have taken its eyes off the ball just a bit now that it has won the series. There are too many changes to the lineup going on and the team seems a bit unsettled. Australia has won the previous match and will be very keen to end up with a respectable scoreline. West Indies vs Australia 5th T20 2021 could go Australia's way.
